Please join us at the UC Irvine xMPL on Wednesday, October 16, 6-7:30 p.m., followed by a reception with light refreshments.
Art historians Philip Glahn (Temple University) and Cary Levine (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) will present their recent monograph The Future Is Present: Art, Technology, and the Work of Mobile Image, followed by a panel discussion with Mobile Image co-founder Kit Galloway, LA-based media artist Eli Joteva and UC Irvine Department of Art Professor Emeritus Ulysses Jenkins.
This event is presented by the Claire Trevor School of the Art’s Beall Center for Art + Technology, in collaboration with the UC Irvine Jack and Shanaz Langson Institute and Museum of California Art, Department of Art and Department of Art History.
