DIRECTIONS TO THE ART DEPARTMENT, UC IRVINE

405 FREEWAY

Northbound:

• Take 405 Freeway North and exit on JEFFREY/UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn LEFT on JEFFREY/UNIVERSITY DRIVE and continue to MESA ROAD;
• Turn LEFT on MESA ROAD;
• Turn RIGHT into the MESA PARKING STRUCTURE (first opportunity to turn right; if you reach a stop sign, you have gone too far; turn around by using the semicircular area on the right side by Bren Events Center); and 
• Proceed to the parking kiosk and ask attended about parking (see "Parking Information" below).

Southbound:

• Take 405 Freeway South and exit on JAMBOREE ROAD;
• Turn RIGHT on JAMBOREE ROAD and continue to CAMPUS DRIVE;
• Turn LEFT on CAMPUS DRIVE and continue to UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT on UNIVERSITY DRIVE, continue to MESA ROAD;
• Turn LEFT on MESA ROAD;
• Turn RIGHT into the MESA PARKING STRUCTURE (first opportunity to turn right; if you reach a stop sign, you have gone too far; turn around by using the semicircular area on the right side by Bren Events Center); and 
• Proceed to the parking kiosk and ask attended about parking (see "Parking Information" below).

73 FREEWAY (Toll Road)

Southbound:

• Take 73 Freeway South and exit on UNIVERSITY DRIVE (you will not incur toll at this point);
• Turn LEFT on UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT on MESA ROAD;
• Turn RIGHT into the MESA PARKING STRUCTURE (first opportunity to turn right; if you reach a stop sign, you have gone too far; turn around by using the semicircular area on the right side by Bren Events Center); and
• Proceed to the parking kiosk and ask attended about parking (see "Parking Information" below).

Northbound:

• Take 73 Freeway North and exit on BISON AVENUE (will not incur toll at this point);
• Turn RIGHT on BISON AVENUE and continue to CALIFORNIA AVENUE;
• Turn LEFT on CALIFORNIA AVENUE and continue to UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT on UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT into the MESA PARKING STRUCTURE (first opportunity to turn right; if you reach a stop sign, you have gone too far; turn around by using the semicircular area on the right side by Bren Events Center); and
• Proceed to the parking kiosk and ask attended about parking (see "Parking Information" below).

Parking Information
If you were informed that there is a parking reservation under your name, the parking attendant will have your permit.  Otherwise, you can pay the attendant for parking. If there is no parking attendant, you may locate a parking permit dispenser on the first floor of the parking structure and purchase a short-term permit.

Directions to ACT building (#727), Art Administration Office

• Once inside the Mesa Parking Structure, access the pedestrian bridge located on Level 3;
• After you cross the bridge, you will see a beige building ahead with the name "ART CULTURE TECHNOLOGY" on the side (building #727 on UCI maps);
• Walk along either side of the building until you find an open hallway where the elevator is located.  The stairs are located on the right side of the building.
• The Art Administration Office is located on the 3rd floor of the building.

Directions to the Contemporary Arts Center and spaces within CAC

• Once inside the Mesa Parking Structure, access the pedestrian bridge located on Level 3;
• After you cross the bridge, the Contemporary Arts Center on the right side;
• xMPL is on the first floor on the left side of the lobby;
• CAC Gallery is on the first floor on the right side of the lobby;
• CAC Colloquium Room is on the third floor (elevator and stairs are located on the right side of the lobby); and
• CAC4 graduate studios are located on the fourth floor.

Directions to loading/unloading zone by the Admin Office and Area labs (from 405 Freeway Southbound) 

• Take 405 Freeway South and exit on JAMBOREE ROAD;
• Turn RIGHT on JAMBOREE ROAD and continue to CAMPUS DRIVE;
• Turn LEFT on CAMPUS DRIVE and continue to UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT on BRIDGE ROAD/W. PELTASON DRIVE;
• Pass PEREIRA DRIVE; immediately after PEREIRA DRIVE, there is a small road on the right under the bridge called FINE ARTS DRIVE;
• Turn RIGHT on FINE ARTS DRIVE;
• Continue on FINE ARTS DRIVE until you see the Sculpture area and the Art Administration buildings on the left; to your right are student dormitories;
• Park in the one-car space 15-minute loading/unloading zone behind the Sculpture area; it is marked on the ground by yellow stripes.
• If the space is occupied, you may choose to park in the promenade between the Sculpture area/Art courtyard and the Art Admin building for quick loading/unloading purposes only; please note that Parking Services often patrol the area for unauthorized parking and you are responsible for any parking violation you might receive. The Department of Art is not responsible for any parking violation you might receive.
