Job Call for Digital Filmmaking Area/Lab Manager

Under general supervision of the Department Manager (MSO), serve as supervisor of the Digital Filmmaking facilities, which includes the sound stage, insert stage, lab stage, production labs, post production lab, and equipment office. Provide management to the daily operation of the facilities, including maintenance of equipment and inventory, check-out and tracking system, purchasing, applicable service and recommendation of related instructional equipment, materials and supplies, preparation and monitoring budget, projection, maintenance of proper controls and safety standards. Provide hands-on assistance to faculty, staff, students, and members of the general public on various video productions. Supervision of video facility student staff.

ART 101W Artists as Writers
Contemporary art practice involves text, as final form or an integral element. Many contemporary artists consider writing as essential to their practice. Covers historical and contemporary uses of text and image as well as artists’ writing.

Spring 2019 (April 1 – June 14, 2019)

ART 11A History of Contemporary Art
Surveys twentieth-century art production, from modernity through post-modernity, in a historical and cultural context.

ART 215 Graduate Seminar Topics
In-depth discussion of contemporary art production in relation to a variety of theoretical, cultural, and historical topics. Materials determined by the given instructor’s current research interest.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have an MFA or a PhD, and at least three years of teaching experience or equivalent experience, at the college or university level.

Salary of approximately $5,788.78 per class.
