GRADUATE ALUMNUS NORITAKA MINAMI, APPOINTED ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO

Noritaka Minami (MFA 2011) has been appointed Assistant Professor of Photography at Loyola University Chicago's Department of Fine and Performing Arts, effective August 2015.

Since graduating from UCI, he has taught at Harvard, Wellesley, School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and UC Berkeley. He was recently named a recipient of the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, and has a forthcoming photo book called "1972," set to be published by Kehrer Verlag.

GRADUATE ALUMNA MARCIA HAFIF, SOLO EXHIBITION AT LAGUNA ART MUSEUM

Alumna Marcia Hafif, graduate of the first MFA class at UC Irvine's Department of Art, in solo exhibition "Marcia Hafif: From the Inventory" at the Laguna Art Museum through September 27, 2015.

Marcia Hafif's Exhibition "From the Inventory" at Laguna Art Museum

Marcia Hafif (MFA ’71) has her first exhibition in California in forty years at the Laguna Art Museum. The exhibition consists of monochromatic installations and a photography series she created while pursuing her MFA at UC Irvine. The exhibition is open from June 28, 2015 through September, 27, 2015.

UCI Art Undergraduate Honors Program Show 2015

Irvine, CA (June 3, 2015) -- UC Irvine’s Art Undergraduate Honors Program of 2015 presents, I hope we can still be friends; a culmination of a year-long studio residency directed by Daniel Joseph Martinez, along with Kevin Appel, Juli Carson and Jennifer Pastor. The six student artists: James Barnes, Adrian Garcia, Garrett Hallman, Jenny Kim, Juan Meneses, and Phonnyta Seng, will exhibit work that manifests their research over the course of the current year.
