GRADUATE ALUMNUS JONAS N.T. BECKER IN SOLO SHOW AT SHULAMIT GALLERY

Zol Zayn // What If?
A solo show by Jonas N.T. Becker (MFA 2010)
Opening Reception: Saturday, January 11, 2014 | 7 PM - 9 PM
Exhibition Dates: January 11 - March 4, 2014
Shumalit Gallery

Shulamit Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by new media artist Jonas N.T. Becker.  Born in West Virginia, Becker currently lives and works in Los Angeles.  She received an MFA in Studio Art from the University of California, Irvine in 2010.  She is a recipient of the Six Points Fellowship for emerging Jewish artists, and teaches photography at Scripps College and the Art Institute of California.  Becker’s images and video installations actualize the imaginary space between what can be seen and what we suspect, hope, or believe is real.  Her visual imagery gives truth-like authority to that which can’t be documented and features suspended time and mythologically constructed moments.

Zol Zayn,
